Tyler Van Matre

Tyler Van Matre is a corporate attorney based out of Rutan and Tucker’s Irvine office. Tyler is a proud Orange County native and enjoys assisting business owners, corporate directors and officers, entrepreneurs, borrowers, and investors with a variety of corporate needs across broader Southern California and nationwide.

A majority of Tyler’s corporate practice includes middle market mergers and acquisitions on both the buy- and sell-side, commercial financing transactions, contract review and negotiation, and general corporate governance.

Growing up in a small-business focused family, Tyler has experienced the importance of building strong business relationships. He consistently weighs the pros and cons of various legal approaches, communicates his reasoning effectively, and utilizes his level-headed demeanor to achieve beneficial outcomes for all parties to a transaction.

Prior to pursuing law school at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, Tyler secured undergraduate degrees in Economics and Entrepreneurship at UCLA. He also served as student manager for the UCLA Men’s Volleyball program.
