Overview
Amy has experience defending both single and multi-plaintiff employment claims, including complex wage and hour class actions, representative actions brought under California’s Private Attorneys General Act, and actions for termination, retaliation, harassment, and discrimination. Additionally, Amy helps to conduct internal employment investigations for public and private employers in the Bay Area.
Amy focuses on commercial and consumer class action litigation, drawing from her experience litigating claims regarding automatic renewals, false advertising, unfair competition, and breach of contract. She works with online companies such as online marketplaces, online and mobile advertisers and shared mobility platform and service providers, advocating on their behalf in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and administrative appeals. She also has extensive experience assisting online companies with subpoena compliance.
Prior to joining Rutan & Tucker, Amy was an associate at Ricketts Case. While in law school, Amy helped to facilitate settlements as a judicial extern in the Civil Settlement Department of the Sacramento Superior Court. Before enrolling in law school, Amy spent six months in the South African township of Khayelitsha as a law and human rights intern.
